"THERE IS NO PLACE IN MODERN CIVILIZED SOCIETY FOR THIS BARBARIC ACT LABELLED "TRADITION" BY RICH PEOPLE WITH ACCESS TO MODERN WESTERN FOOD, MCDONALDS AND COCA COLA" - Captain Garry Oates We have written to the Danish Government, Royal family and the UK Government https://fb.watch/83lQa9oGuA/ "The dolphins did not escape. The entire pod has been wiped out. We are depending on our local Faroese friends to document this brutal slaying and sharing with us as it happens. We are thankful that they are there and thankful that they are speaking for the dolphins. This is the path to change. Until the whale supporting locals speak up, this will continue to happen." Good job getting "the word" out on these vile killings and captures. But more importantly presenting info on different venues and platforms so people will hear. So people will listen and become advocates and activist. So perhaps one day the right person with the power and resources will end these horrors.

Thank you for commenting, Cindy. So many activists write letters and present petitions to the worlds' leaders, only to be ignored. Our planet is already heading towards disaster with global warning and diseases such as Covid, yet for our power-hungry governments, it's business as usual.

All media should show and report this. Especially the insane reply of the government that this slaughter is humane, useful and tradition. Besides, another way would be that a group of activists shows this horror on Dolphins on videos to the public in the street,

Agreed, Leotien. Here in the UK, the BBC was covering the story during which a reporter grilled a Faroe Islands' spokesperson. Suddenly, it was interrupted by "breaking news", never to be aired again. We believe this was done deliberately by a high authority in the UK who didn't want this story aired. 17/9/2021 14:37:11
Like everyone reading this blog or viewing the global TV reports, we were appalled and sickened by the genocide committed by the ‘wannabee Vikings’ of the Faroe Islands.

I can't believe that the BBC coverage was interrupted while airing!

Thanks for making comment, Gucky. It's good to hear how this Faroe Islands' atrocity has been covered globally. Germany certainly appears to have stepped up to the plate re media coverage - unlike the UK that once again did its utmost to turn a blind eye to this carnage. Sadly, a shameful trait that appears to be endemic in the UK. We note that almost all the comments on this hard-hitting blog have come from overseas. 17/9/2021 14:43:50
18 small rugged islands in the North Atlantic between Ireland and Iceland, in the 9th century certainly very much needed the food they got from whale meat. They DO NOT NEED IT NOW. Even if "the tradition" were to be allowed to continue with just a few animals there can be no justification whatsoever, in todays' threatened oceans for the brutal slaughter of so many. Life is change, and change we all must at some point.

Thank you for giving this organization a platform to share this story. This story has taken on a life of its own! I've seen it on many different media platforms. Hopefully this means people are waking up th this barbarism! 1460 White sided dolphins; which are considered endangered, were killed just for the act of killing. What else can it be for? The meat is toxic if used for human consumption! Maybe that is what is wrong with these people...mercury poisoning from eating the meat of Pilot Whales and now White Sided Dolphins. The barbaric act of the Grind must be stopped now and since this story is making it all over the world I can only pray that it will! Again, thank you for giving this story your attention and a place to speak out. We must all speak out, sign all the petitions you can sign, send this story to media outlets and to my fellow activists, get off your buts and help in any way you can to stop these atrocities!

Yes indeed, Paulo. The Faroese (amongst others) are committing genocide - the annihilation of the world's Atlanteans. Thank you for making comment.

It is indeed unacceptable, Ely, and we agree that the world should shout its indignation against this barbaric act. Our planet is dying because of human greed and indifference. And people are dying or made disabled by horrific diseases, such as Covid, generated by abuse of animals. Yet, still, our leaders are not listening or learning. This Faroe Islands' atrocity should be condemned by the world's governments. So why aren't we hearing their voices? Thank you for commenting, Ely.

Traditions, culture and customs should not be a reason to kill animals, humans are wrong in many things, unlike animals, they are better than us.

We couldn't agree more, Angus. The Grind is nothing more than an orgy of cruelty, abuse and murder. What kind of person could possibly view this as a celebration of their heritage? Those that take part are nothing more than bloodthirsty thugs intent on eradicating those who are unable to defend themselves. In our opinion, the Faroese butchers are barbarians. Plain and simple.

This is nothing more than the brutal slaughter of an entire pod by heartless murderers. This is only one of many crimes against nature perpetuated by our species. We are killing flora and fauna each and every day. We are destroying everything around us . . . the air we breathe, the land we live on.and the water we drink. All of these are necessary for our continued survival. When will we realize this truth? When will we do something about it? Hopefully before it's too late.

Sadly, we fear it is too late, Nancy. Two nights ago, the UN reported that the world has failed on all targets to save the planet.

Nothing! That is what the USA media is saying about the horrific number of dolphins recently slaughtered by the Faroese. Nothing!

To think that a small group of islands are allowed to indiscriminately butcher 1400-plus white-sided dolphins without redress is nothing short of sickening. Even worse, all these murdered Atlanteans are classed as endangered. So, like you, Nico, we ask: What is wrong with the Faroese? Do they deem themselves so pathetically insular, so tribal, that they care nothing for the feelings of the outside world? Do they view the protection of a barbaric, outdated tradition as an excuse to inflict genocide on a sentient race?
