HellCat Belinda Fellgate really cuts loose in the second instalment of this innovative series. Not only is The Kiss of Flauros a great read, but it also delivers a powerful message - a warning we should all take heed of.
The phrase ‘Hell’s bells’ was sculpted to describe this page-turning, squeamishly magnificent second novella … the HellCat has a killing instinct that would make Dracula himself hang up his cloak.
(Stephen Kingston, Editor, Salford Star)
From the pens of gifted wordsmiths, immensely dark and unearthly events are occurring as Belinda is about to turn fifteen … With Infinity hanging in the balance, all eyes look to HellCat Belinda to ensure the future!
(Ian Rothwell, Radio Presenter)
After reading HellCat I was really looking forward to The Kiss of Flauros, and it didn't disappoint. It kept me in a constant state of anticipation and I didn't want to put it down. The writers are skilled masters of creating vivid characters that come alive and jump off the page to greet you.
(Jill Bowyer, Presenter and Manager, Salford City Radio)

Defiant one!
Thou knowest me as Secrets of the Shadow Realms, a tome forged within the fires of the cosmos. Foolish, thou art, to gaze upon my face for a second time, so I warn thee again:
Heedest thou my words and tremble!
Although yet in infancy, a phoenix be rising: an entity crafted into my parchments by the illustrious Lords of the Shadow Realms. A being with one purpose: to wreak retribution on all those who would challenge Infinity’s law.
So, reader be thou warned!
Unbeknownst to the Lords of Heaven and Purgatory, my master Satan inserted within my parchments a hidden clause: without the kiss of Flauros, the HellCat cannot attain full power. A devilry that cannot be broken,
even by he who crafteth it.
So, gone forever be the emerald-eyed dullard, Belinda Fellgate! For in her place blooms what I perceive to be a dire threat! Yet, what can I do? For I be the willing slave of the Abyss, and Satan himself commandeth me to give her aid;
so, I must obey.
In turmoil be my black heart!
Hath my Dark Lord made a monumental mistake?
What if the fledgling HellCat hath a soul incorruptible?
Wouldst not that render the HellCat cure worse than the insurgency beyond Hell’s Gate?
If this be so, I say unto thee:
Woe and thrice woe! For the wrath of chaos will consume us all.
Exalted Father, I implore thee:
Bewarest thou thy daughter!
Bewarest thou thy fledgling HellCat!

Belinda froze as a bulbous figure, garbed in a yellow polka-dot jumpsuit, hauled itself clumsily along the walkway.
It can't be ... can it? Is that a clown?
The bear-like figure lumbered towards her, its huge bulk shuffling rather than walking. Even from a distance, Belinda's razor-sharp vision could see the strain etched across its luridly painted face; her ears hear its tortured rasp as it struggled to take in air.
THE JUNCTION
Created by the Lords of Karma, this ferry port weighs the sins of the dead and delivers souls to their final destination: Heaven, Purgatory or Hell. The deceased are issued with a Golden Ticket that allows them to board one of three Void Sea ferries. This halfway house is controlled by a compassionate spirit named Sir Rodney James Charman.

HELL'S HARBOUR
The final disembarkation point of the damned. This dread place is the gateway to Hell; a crazed face of psychedelia that is constantly in flux to confuse and disorientate those condemned to oblivion. Hell is reserved for only the most despicable dregs of humankind.

TULPA
This manifestation is quite literally a monster from the id; a dangerous thought form that can only be conjured by a master of the black arts. However, a tulpa, if not vigorously controlled, can become a free spirit, thus breaking the mental hold of the sorcerer who created it. The birthing of this powerful entity can be akin to opening Pandora’s box; a malevolence impossible to control once it has tasted freedom.
